BSCi

BSCi is a training and professional development library for building supply employees. Unlike Internet-based training, its multimedia PDF's can be viewed online, downloaded and distributed to employees' PCs, or printed and photocopied.  You need just one PC with Web access (at work or home), and Adobe's free Acrobat Reader.

Michigan Lumber & Building Materials Association

The Michigan Lumber and Building Materials Association, now in its 110th year of service to the lumber industry in Michigan, provides a wide menu of programs and services to its members. The association assists in the areas of human resources, education and training, employee benefits including health, property, and workers’ compensation insurance, and technology. MLBMA also serves as an industry watching for regulatory and legislative issues impacting the industry or small business. Additionally, numerous professional services such as D.O.T. mandated Drug & Alcohol Testing for drivers, long distance and related communication programs and quality products are available.

Mountain States Lumber & Building Material Dealers Association

The Mountain States Lumber & Building Material Dealers Association, founded in 1891, is a trade association representing the lumber and building material dealers in the states of Arizona, Colorado, SE Idaho, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. Its mission is to actively serve the building material dealers in the Mountain States Region by providing forums for communication and interaction, tools and services to assist in meeting members’ goals and objectives.

National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association

NLBMDA is a federated association with some 8,500 retail lumber and building material dealers located in every state of the country.

Northeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association

The Northeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association (NeLMA) is the rules writing agency for Eastern White Pine and is voluntarily supported by producers of Eastern White Pine, SPFs and other softwood and hardwood lumber throughout New England, New York and Pennsylvania. Members subscribe to American Lumber Standard Committee (ALSC) policies as shown in Voluntary Product Standard 20. NeLMA is on the ALSC Board of Directors and has representation on the National Grading Rule Committee for softwood dimension lumber.

Northeastern Retail Lumber Association

The mission of the Northeastern Retail Lumber Association is to develop an organization run by the members and for the members to foster cooperation, affect business and personal development and establish a forum for the resolution of problems. Additionally, the organization fulfills a leadership role by identifying challenges, changes and opportunities that will insure members’ business success and future. The purpose of the NRLA is to:

  • provide a unified strong voice for the industry at all levels of government
  • provide education and training for the development of members’ businesses and their individual employees
  • provide information to assist every member in the management of their firm
  • to serve as a clearing house for solving problems of mutual concern
  • to assist members wherever possible in reducing their cost of doing business through group programs including insurance benefit plans
  • promote high standards of business ethics among all industry participants
  • promote the sale and expanded use of the industry’s products
  • promote a healthy, profitable business environment
  • provide the opportunity through meetings, special education programs and organizations for young members of the industry to realize the fulfillment of career opportunities in this industry

Northwestern Lumber Association

The Northwestern Lumber Association exists to support all segments of its membership in gaining and maintaining a profitable and competitive position in the marketplace and to:

  • develop and deliver programs, services and related products that will assist members in serving the public in a professional manner
  • ensure that the interests of the members are represented in the legislative and regulative process at all levels of government
  • promote the lumber and building materials industry and its products


 

Powr Ladder

Powr Ladder... An idea born out of necessity.

The first POWR LADDER was designed and patented over 40 years ago. Experience convinced the inventor there had to be an easier, more efficient, and safer way to get materials on a roof rather than hand carrying them up a ladder.

In 1950 Eldon Otto began to design and test the motorized conveyor called POWR LADDER. In 1963 Eldon Otto completed the project and received a patent. He later obtained the trademark for POWR LADDER.

Several years later the POWR LADDER HOIST was designed and has become a valuable addition for many customers.
